Chic Elegance for a Cause
Join Variety - the Children's Charity of Iowa for an exclusive garden party–inspired evening featuring Kentucky Derby–style attire, great company, and a shared commitment to raising critical funds for Iowa’s children who are at-risk, underprivileged, critically ill, or living with special needs.
The Car Barn
Guests will have the rare opportunity to explore the car barn, home to Dennis Albaugh’s remarkable collection of 201 vehicles spanning 1912–1975. The collection includes Corvettes from 1953–1975, one of every color of the 1957 Bel Air, and one of every color of the 1959 Impala. Highlights also include a 1939 Futurliner, 85 pedal cars, and an extensive Yenko collection. The 28,000-square-foot barn is open to the public fewer than ten times each year, making this a truly rare opportunity to view this remarkable collection.
The Impact
Variety will host a special Parade of Champions, welcoming past Polo Fund-A-Need recipients who received mobility equipment thanks to the generosity of Polo on the Green supporters over the years. It will be a meaningful and joyful opportunity to reconnect with the children whose lives have been directly impacted by your kindness.
Attire
In the tradition of Variety’s Polo on the Green, Roses & Rye invites guests to embrace summer cocktail style with a Kentucky Derby twist. Think statement hats, bright patterns, seersucker, florals, and fresh summer pastels. Fun, festive, and photo-ready!
